Midfielder Has Rarely Played This Season
Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny is a January transfer target for AC Milan.
The Egypt international is currently on loan at Turkish side Besiktas. However, he has made just one start in the Super Lig – in the 3-2 defeat at Gaziantep last month. He was sent off after 75 minutes. His only other two appearances have come in Europa League defeats at Slovan Bratislava and at home to Wolves. Ironically, both those games took place after his red card.
According to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan see Elneny as a potential replacement for Franck Kessie. The Ivory Coast international is thought to be a target for Wolves after they opened talks during the summer.
Elneny is known to be keen on an exit from Besiktas. He joined the Turkish club after being told by Arsenal boss Unai Emery that he doesn’t feature in his plans for this season.
Arsenal are expected to demand around £15 million for the 27-year-old.
