Real Madrid Keen
Real Madrid will make a fresh attempt to sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.
The Denmark international has turned down three separate offers of a new deal from the north London club. His contract expires at the end of this season and Spurs are keen not to lose him for nothing.
According to the Madrid-based newspaper Marca, Tottenham are willing to sell Eriksen in January for a fee of around €20-25 million (£18-22.5 million).
Real were interested in Eriksen during the summer. However, Zinedine Zidane told the club’s recruitment department to concentrate on their pursuit of Paul Pogba of Manchester United. However, United dug in their heels and told Real that the Frenchman wouldn’t be leaving Old Trafford this summer.
But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has instructed agents working on behalf of the club to look for potential purchasers ahead of a January move and Real are expected to be at the front of the queue.
