Manchester United ‘To Make Move’ For Maddison, Chilwell

United Linked With Foxes Duo

James Maddison Manchester United transfer news

Manchester United are prepared to pay £130 million for the Leicester City pair of winger James Maddison and central defender Ben Chilwell.

United are being linked with a number of players following a poor start to the season that sees them just two points above the Premier League relegation places.

United have been linked already with Maddison, but The Sun claims today that the Red Devils are ready to step up their pursuit of both players with plans to put in a bid in the January transfer window.

However, manager Ole Gunnar Solkjaer’s priority in January is for a new striker. That means he could defer moves for Maddison and Chilwell until the summer.

Reports from Italy claim Juventus may use striker Mario Mandzukic in a bid to entice Manchester United to part with Paul Pogba.

The France international was linked during the summer with a return to Juve as well as with interest from Real Madrid. However, United dug in their heels and told Pogba he was going nowhere.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport now claims that the Serie A champions will offer Mandzukic and their former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can as part of a deal for Pogba.

It was claimed on Thursday that United have already agreed terms with Mandzukic but that they have yet to open talks with Juventus over a fee.
