Arsenal Linked With Wolves Defender Boly

Boly Being Eyed Up Claims Report

Arsenal transfer news

Arsenal are eyeing up Wolves defender Willy Boly as the Gunners look to bolster their defence. That’s according to one newspaper report today.

Boly, 28, has impressed for Wolves since his £10 million move from Portugese side FC Porto in 2018. He also spent a season on loan at Molyneux prior to the move being made permanent.

The Sun claims Arsenal boss Unai Emery is looking for defensive options despite adding David Luiz just before the transfer deadline in August.

The paper adds that Wolves could double their money for Boly. He scored a late winner for the West Midlands outfit when they defeated Besiktas in the Europa League on Thursday. He was also part of the side that provided the shock of the season to date when they defeated Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad on Sunday.

But Wolves will want to hang on to one of their most consistent performers. Also, considering he turns 29 in February, Boly is at the upper end of the age limit for Arsenal although the Gunners have relaxed their policy of only signing players aged under 30.
