Malen Back On Radar
Arsenal are the latest club to be linked with PSV Eindhoven goalscoring sensation Donyell Malen.
The 20-year-old was linked on Saturday with interest from Liverpool with reports suggesting the Reds are keeping tabs on the Netherlands international. But Arsenal are also interested in a player they allowed to leave for £500,000 just two years ago.
Malen has scored 11 goals in 13 appearances so far this season with the result that his valuation has increased to around £50 million.
Forty-five clubs have asked PSV to be kept informed about Malen’s situation leading to speculation he could leave the Dutch side next summer.
Malen scored all five goals for PSV in their victory over Vitesse Arnhem last weekend. After leaving Arsenal he spent a season in the youth ranks at PSV before making his debut for the senior side in February 2018. He went on to make four appearances in the 2017-18 season.
Malen made his international debut for the Netherlands earlier this month. He came off the bench in the 58th minute of a Euro 2020 qualifier with Germany and got on the scoresheet in his side’s 4-2 victory in Hamburg.
