Liverpool are monitoring PSV Eindhoven forward Donyell Malen.

The 20-year-old has been in imperious form so far this season. He has scored 10 goals in 12 appearances for club and country. That includes six goals in his last two games.

Malen scored all five goals for PSV in their victory over Vitesse Arnhem last weekend. He was originally on Arsenal’s books but was sold to the Eredivisie side in 2017. After a season in the youth ranks he made his debut for the senior side in February 2018 making four appearances in the 2017-18 season.

He went on to make 42 appearances for the first team last season scoring 11 goals.

Malen made his international debut for the Netherlands earlier this month coming off the bench in the 58th minute of a Euro 2020 qualifier with Germany. He got on the scoresheet in a 4-2 victory in Hamburg.
