Announcement Expected Soon
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has signed a new four-year deal with the club, it is being claimed today.
The Sunday Mirror reports that ‘sources’ close to the player have stated that he has signed a contract worth £250,000 a week rising to £350,000 a week when bonuses are included.
An announcement is expected in the coming days.
De Gea has been linked with both Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus. His current deal expires at the end of this season and he can speak to overseas clubs from January over a pre-contract agreement.
United In Swap Link Involving Kroos, Pogba
Meanwhile, German newspaper Bild claims Manchester United are interested in a swap deal in the January transfer window involving Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.
The paper claims Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda is suggesting that United will take German international Kroos in the winter with Paul Pogba heading in the opposite direction.
United were keen on Kroos in 2014 when he left Bayern Munich, but he chose instead to sign for Real.
But Kroos turns 30 in January and that in itself looks set to scupper any move by United. The Red Devils tend to rule out big-money signings of players once they reach the age of 30. Plus United would expect a huge cash payment from Real to make up the difference in valuations between the two players.
