Manchester United News: Bid For Maddison Likely Next Summer

Scouts To Keep Tabs On Leicester Man

James Maddison Manchester United transfer news

Manchester United will monitor Leicester City forward James Maddison ahead of a possible bid next summer.

The 22-year-old was linked with United during the recent transfer window and has started the new season in fine form with two assists in the Foxes’ unbeaten start to the new campaign.

Maddison only moved to the King Power Stadium in a £20million transfer from Norwich City in 2018 so a second move in the space of just twelve months was never really on the cards. His contract with Leicester runs to 2023 but he could be open to a switch next summer.

Manchester City and Liverpool have also been linked but Leicester have gained a reputation for extracting the maximum from selling their players. They got £80 million from United for Harry Maguire this summer and £60million when they sold Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City in the summer of 2017.

New Deal Likely For Lindelof

Manchester United are ready to offer Victor Lindelof a new contract that would see him double his wages.

The Sweden international joined United from Benfica in 2017 and is under contract at Old Trafford until 2022.

According to The Sun, United are ready to offer Lindelof a new five-year deal which, with the one-year extension option built into the contract, means it would run to 2025.
