Real Reject PSG Demand For Vincius
Brazilian striker Neymar is training alone at Paris Saint-Germain and appears to have kicked a ball for the final time for the French club.
The 27-year-old has been in conflict with PSG over the past few weeks and the club appear to have given in to his demands to leave before the transfer deadline on 2 September.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are both interested although the two La Liga giants are looking at player-exchanges with a cash adjustment.
Barcelona have rejected a proposal from PSG for winger Ousmane Dembele and left-back Nelson Semedo. However, they are open to Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic moving to the French side as part of any deal and have offered a cash payment of €100 million (£93 million) on top of that.
Now comes the news that Real have turned down a request by PSG to have 19-year-old forward Vincius Junior included in the transfer. The French side’s sporting director Leonardo regards Vincius as a similar player to Neymar in terms of his playing style but with a much better attitude. PSG’s request was instantly rejected by the Bernabeu.
Both Neymar and Vincius came through the academy system at Brazilian side Flamengo and Vincius has expressed a wish to one day play alongside Neymar. He moved to Real Madrid last summer for a fee of €46 million and has quickly become a favourite of the club’s supporters.
Real are keen to offload Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez. However, PSG have rejected a chance to sign the Wales international.
Two other Real Madrid players PSG are interested in are Croatian midfielder Luka Modric and Brazilian midfielder Casemiro.
