Tierney ‘Linked’ With Premier League Rivals
Reports from Scotland suggest Arsenal may have competition for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney. However, the reports are largely speculative and there is no substance to them.
The Gunners have seen a third bid for Scotland international Tierney rejected by Celtic. That bid was worth up to £25 million but the Scottish champions are looking for a higher up-front fee with lesser amounts based on add-ons and bonuses.
The Scotsman claims Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur could also be in the market for Tierney. However, the paper bases its report on the possible sale by Spurs of Danny Rose. The England international has been left at home for the club’s pre-season tour amidst rumours he could be on his way out of the club.
The paper believes Tierney could be a possible candidate if Rose is sold. But there is nothing concrete in the report and Arsenal currently have the field to themselves.
