New Bid For Tierney
Arsenal have returned with a second bid for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney that could be worth up to £25 million to the Scottish side.
The Gunners have already failed with a bid of £15 million and have come back with a substantially improved offer.
Arsenal face competition from Serie A side Napoli for Tierney’s signature. Carlo Ancelotti is known to be a huge admirer of the Scotland international but he will have to sell Marco Rui before he can put in any bid for Tierney.
The 22-year-old is currently out of Celtic’s pre-season programme with a pelvic injury.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have joined the race for Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo. The 20-year-old had a breakthrough season in 2018-19 after moving to Roma from Inter Milan last summer.
Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur had long been thought to be the frontrunners for Zaniolo’s signature, but Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy claims that Arsenal are now interested.
Zaniolo isn’t pushing for a move away from Roma. However, he could be interested in a switch if he can land a good enough deal.
