Coutinho Linked With Reds Return
Liverpool could make a move for former player Phillippe Coutinho according to reports from France.
The Brazil international has endured a torrid time since his move from Anfield to Barcelona at the beginning of January 2018. He was restricted to just 22 starts in La Liga last season as coach Ernesto Valverde preferred Ousmane Dembele or Arturo Vidal particularly in the second half of the campaign.
French newspaper Le 10 Sport speculates that Liverpool are still interested in bringing Coutinho back to Anfield. The 27-year-old had been linked with interest from Manchester United, but he was barracked by United fans when the Red Devils played Barcelona in the Champions League last season and that has brought him closer to a move back to Anfield.
Barcelona will demand around £100 million for Coutinho and that in itself would be a problem for Liverpool.
Paris Saint-Germain are also being linked.
Meanwhile, the Daily Express claims Real Madrid will offer midfielder Marco Asensio to Liverpool but that they will want Sadio Mane in return.
Madrid are willing to allow the 23-year-old to leave the Bernabeu this summer.
The Express offers no source for its story.
