Brazil Star In Manchester United Swap Link
Manchester United have been offered Neymar by Paris Saint-Germain as part of a deal that would see Paul Pogba move in the opposite direction.
According to The Independent PSG are keen to bring Pogba to the Ligue 1 side with Neymar facing an uncertain future after just two years with the French club. The paper claims to have been told that PSG are willing to sign Pogba with the Brazilian moving to Old Trafford. There is no suggestion as to whether this would be a straight swap or a cash adjustment would be necessary.
However, the deal appears to have little chance of succeeding. Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward believes Neymar would be too expensive even for his club. The 27-year-old is one of the highest-paid players in the world with a basic wage of over £600,000 a week rising to around £900,000 a week once bonuses are taken into account. Woodward is also determined to hang on to Pogba largely because he is once of the most marketable players in the world. However, Neymar is one of the few players who are more popular.
United have been linked in the past with Neymar. They were sniffing around in 2016 before he signed a new deal with Barcelona. At that time he would have cost around £140 million. He moved to PSG a year later for£198 million. At the moment a return to the Nou Camp is the likeliest outcome.
New Link With Sancho
Manchester United are being linked once again with Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
The Sun claims United could make a move for the England international if they sell Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku.
However, Dortmund will insist that the £70 million rated Sancho remains with them for at least one more season. Again, a successful bid looks unlikely at least this summer.
