Chelsea expect to appoint Frank Lampard as their new manager by the end of the week. Blues midfielder Jorginho is expected to follow former boss Maurizio Sarri to Juventus. However, Chelsea’s transfer embargo may have a bearing on that.

Manchester United are closing in on the transfer of Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka although reports a deal has been done appear to be wide of the mark. United and local rivals Manchester City have been told by West Ham United that Declan Rice is not for sale. United are being linked with Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks. Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson will sign a new deal at Old Trafford before rejoining Sheffield United on another season-long loan.
