Diop In United Link
Manchester United are interested in West Ham United defender Issa Diop but are unwilling to match the Hammers’ £60 million valuation.
The 22-year-old Diop only moved to West Ham last summer when they signed him in a £22 million transfer deal with French side Toulouse. But he went on to put in a string of impressive performances playing 33 Premier League games plus five matches in cup competitions.
According to Sky Sports, United are willing to offer £45 million plus a player in return for Diop. West Ham value the France under-21 international at £60 million.
Pogba ‘To Refuse To Play Pre-Season’
Paul Pogba is willing to go on strike to force through a move to Real Madrid.
The Manchester United midfielder was linked on Saturday with a possible summer switch to the La Liga side. However, United have told Madrid there will be no sale.
But Spanish newspaper ABC believes a difference in the two clubs’ respective valuations is preventing a deal from being done. It claims United are demanding a transfer fee of €180 million (£160 million) but Real will pay €125 million (£112 million) plus bonuses and will never agree to pay €180 million.
The report adds that Pogba is willing to take a cut in pay to €11 million a year – the same as Eden Hazard – in order not to break the club’s pay structure. Real have also told Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola not to expect the same sort of commission deal that he achieved when Pogba moved from Juventus to Manchester United three years ago.
But ABC claims Pogba will refuse to play in United’s pre-season programme in order to force through a move.
Marcus Rashford will put pen to paper on a new deal worth £350,000 a week at Manchester United.
Reports today claim the England international will snub interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona to remain at Old Trafford. In truth, while both the Spanish giants have watched Rashford on a number of occasions there is no concrete interest in the player.
