Manchester United Transfer News: Pogba Talks, Lukaku Exit

Juve, United In Pogba Talks

Paul Pogba Manchester United

Manchester United have held talks in London with Juventus over a potential move back to the Italian champions for Paul Pogba.

According to Sky Italia, Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici flew to the UK to meet United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward at the club’s offices in Mayfair.

Pogba is in his second spell at Old Trafford having moved from Juventus in the summer of 2012. He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but having signed Eden Hazard from Chelsea, Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt and Ferland Mendy from Lyon, Real are getting their business done early this summer and there appears to be little chance of the France international securing a move to the Bernabeu – his preferred option.

Sky’s report suggests that Juventus full-back Joao Cancelo could form part of any transfer deal for Pogba. Manchester City have been linked with the Portugese full-back; however, Danilo’s failure to agree a move to Inter Milan, coupled with Juve’s valuation of €50 million (£44 million) is proving to be a problem.

Paratici was in London principally to speak to Chelsea over their manager Maurizio Sarri. The former Napoli boss looks set to move back to Italy after just one season at Stamford Bridge.

Lukaku Close To Inter Move

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku looks set move to Inter Milan.

Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy claims he has agreed personal terms with the Serie A side and will earn around £6.6 million in bonuses with Inter.

United will take €70 million (£62 million) for a player who cost them £75 million just two years ago when they bought him from Everton. They have since paid an additional £15 million in bonuses to the Toffees.

Earlier this week Lukaku praised new Inter coach Antonio Conte. Inter are also keen on Roma striker Edin Dzeko as Conte goes for height in his front line.
