Gunners Need To Raise Bids For Praet, Andersen
Arsenal are still £5 million short in their valuations of the Sampdoria duo of Dennis Praet and Joachim Andersen.
The Gunners have bid €50 million (£43 million) for the pair. However, Sampdoria want €55million (£48 million).
Sampdoria believe Belgium international midfielder Praet is worth €30 million on his own and value Denmark international Andersen at €25 million.
Arsenal could face competition for the pair from AC Milan. Sampdoria coach Marco Giampaolo is being linked with the vacant coach’s job at the San Siro and he could take Praet with him.
Like Arsenal, Milan face the prospect of another season without Champions League football. They missed out on the final day of the Serie A season and the 2019-20 campaign will be their sixth consecutive season without playing in Europe’s top competition.
Arsenal dealt with Sampdoria last summer buying Lucas Torreira from the Serie A side for around £25 million.
