Felix, Hazard, Sane, Klopp
Manchester United will battle it out with Real Madrid and local rivals Manchester City for the signature of Benfica midfielder Joao Felix. Juventus are eyeing up a return for Paul Pogba. United are favourites to sign Leicester City midfielder James Maddison although it will take a bid of £60 million to prise him away from the Foxes. United have been told to pay €35 million (£31 million) for Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a transfer target for Chinese clubs Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai SIPG. Reports claim he will be offered a wage of £300,000 a week – the same as his earnings at the Emirates.
Real Madrid are set to try again with a transfer bid of €120 million (£107 million) for Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard. However, any decision on Hazard’s future depends on Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri who is being linked with a move to Juventus.
Reports from Spain are linking Liverpool striker Mo Salah with interest from Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. Any move to Old Trafford can be instantly ruled out. Bayern chief Franz Beckenbauer says he would “wish for nothing more” than for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to manage his club. The Reds look set to offer a new deal to striker Divock Origi following his performances in the second half of the season.
Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has ruled out meeting Manchester City’s £90 million valuation of Leroy Sane. “It’s unlikely that it will work. It’s about sums. They’re insane,” Hoeness said.
West Ham United have put in a transfer bid of £20 million for Barcelona winger Andre Gomes. The 25-year-old is also wanted by Everton where he spent last season on loan.
Aston Villa have seen an £8 million bid rejected by Cardiff City for goalkeeper Neil Etheridge.
Bournemouth and Burnley are both interested in West Bromwich Albion striker Jay Rodriguez.
