Liverpool Man Targeted As Part Of Rebuilding
Real Madrid are set to put in a bid for Liverpool striker Mo Salah according to reports.
Los Blancos are known to be keen on the Egypt international and were linked last summer with that a bid that, in the end, never came.
But according to French TV station Canal+, Real are in the early stages of formulating a bid for Salah.
“Real will sign Eden Hazard after the Europa League Final,” journalist Philippe Carayon said.
“After that they will look at another striker – Mohamed Salah.
“They want to build a super big trio of attack. We know that Zidane does not want any more of Bale.
“With Salah, it flows naturally.”
Salah’s agent was forced last month to deny rumours of a bust-up with manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Egyptian retained a share in the Premier League’s Golden Boot Award with 22 goals – the same as team-mate Sadio Mane and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Bale has been offered to Tottenham Hotspur. The Welshman’s former club have first choice on any move for the 29-year-old under the terms of transfer agreement that saw him move to Spain in 2013. However, Spurs would have to pay a loan fee of £10million and around half of his £600,000-a-week wages. That looks unlikely.
But Bale has no future at the Bernabeu and looks set to leave Real Madrid in the summer. Salah is being seen as a potential replacement in what is potentially a huge clearout at the La Liga giants.
