Manchester United Transfer News: Sanchez, Wan-Bissaka, Van Aanholt

Sanchez Wanted In Italy

Alexis Sanchez Manchester United

Serie A champions Juventus are in talks with Manchester United over a move for their Chile international midfielder Alexis Sanchez. Inter Milan have also had discussions with United over a loan move.

United are keen to offload Sanchez who has been a flop since he moved to Old Trafford from Arsenal in January 2018. The 30-year-old started just nine Premier League games this season and was a substitute in 11 others. But his days look numbered after falling down the pecking order.

According to The Independent there have been talks between intermediaries and representatives of both Italian clubs. However, the report does not state whether or not those intermediaries have been officially appointed by the Premier League club.

Sanchez is the highest-paid player at Manchester United on a basic wage of £400,000 a week. He also receives £70,000 per appearance with bonuses said to add a further £35,000 a week on top of that.

Reports earlier this week claimed United could pay as much as £200,000 per week to subsidise the deal. Certainly, neither Juventus nor Inter will match Sanchez’s current pay deal. Either he will have to drop his wage demands or United will have to subsidise the deal.

Inter are also interested in United striker Romelu Lukaku.

United Linked With Palace Duo

Manchester United are being linked with Crystal Palace defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Patrick van Aanholt.

The Sun claims United are prepared to spend £50 million on the duo. However, Palace look set to lose Wilfried Zaha this summer with the Ivory Coast international reportedly having told the club that he wants to leave. The south London club won’t sanction the exit of more than one of their star players unless they recruit someone seen as an adequate replacement. Any move by United may prove to be difficult.
