No Further Contract Talks Planned
Bournemouth are considering whether to cash in on Arsenal transfer target Ryan Fraser.
The 25-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season and is willing to allow his contract to run down. The Cherries would then run the risk of losing him for nothing.
Fraser is already one of Bournemouth’s highest-earning players and he has turned down the offer of a new deal from the club. No further talks are planned before the end of the season.
But the Scotland international admits he has had his head turned by Arsenal’s interest.
“I’m not going to lie, it’s very nice. It means you are are doing something right,” he told Sky Sports News recently.
“They are a huge club, a massive club. When you see your name thrown around you always think to yourself that you are a Bournemouth player and you try to do well.
“I’m not going to lie, you do feel good, especially when it’s a massive club.”
Arsenal see Fraser as a potential replacement for the Juventus-bound Aaron Ramsey. He moved to Bournemouth in a £400,000 transfer from Aberdeen in 2013 when the Cherries were a League One side.
Only Eden Hazard has more assists than Fraser so far this season.
