Arsenal Transfer News: Fraser, Martinelli

Gunners In Fraser Link

Arsenal transfer news

Arsenal are interested in Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser according to reports today.

The Daily Mirror claims Arsenal have had glowing reports about the 25-year-old Scotland international who is also being linked with interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Fraser has been with Bournemouth since joining the Cherries from Aberdeen during the January 2013 transfer window for a fee of £400,000. He has gone on to make almost 170 appearances in all competitions for Bournemouth having made his debut for the side in League One.

Arsenal could be operating under financial restrictions this summer unless they qualify for the Champions League. Their transfer budget is put at around £40million. Fraser would be a cut-price addition to the squad.

Martinelli Move Expected In June

Arsenal are in talks with Brazilian side Itua over 17-year-old winger Gabriel Martinelli. Reports today claim the two clubs have agreed a fee of around £6.5million. That presumably includes add-ons and bonuses as reports at the weekend suggested the two sides had agreed a £5million deal.

Martinelli qualifies for Italian citzenship through his ancestry and is currently in the process of obtaining an Italian passport. That would cut out the need to apply for a UK work permit which would have made any deal difficult. Martinelli has yet to make a senior international appearance for Brazil.

The teenager does not turn 18 until June and is likely to join Arsenal then.
