Arsenal In New Link With Milan’s Kessie

Midfielder Could Be Sold This Summer

Franck Kessie Arsenal transfer news

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Franck Kessie’s situation at AC Milan.

The Ivory Coast international was on the Gunners’ target list when he was at Atalanta. However, he elected instead to move to Milan.

Kessie was involved in an altercation with team-mate Lucas Biglia during last weekend’s Milan derby with Inter. Both players were fined as a result but Kessie is being linked with a move away from the San Siro in the summer.

Milan will demand €40million for the 22-year-old Kessie. However, Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also being linked along with Paris Saint-Germain.

Kessie is a regular in the Milan side. He started in 37 of their 38 Serie A games last season and 26 out of 28 games so far this campaign.

Lichtsteiner In The Dark Over Future

Meanwhile, Arsenal full-back Stephane Lichtsteiner still doesn’t know if he will be at the club next season.

The Switzerland international says there have been talks over a contract extension but reports claim he may want more regular first-team football in order to claim a place in the Switzerland side at Euro 2020.

“This will need time,” he told Swiss newspaper Neue Zurcher Zeitung. “The fact that I play at a top club at the age of 35 says enough. There have been talks. We have to see if it suits both sides.”
