Suarez Permanent Move Unlikely
Arsenal are ready to send Denis Suarez back to Barcelona at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old arrived at the Emirates at the end of January on a loan deal that would run to the end of the campaign. The deal calls for a permanent transfer this summer for a fee believed to be between €25million and €30million.
However, the former Manchester City man has failed to make an impact since his arrival. He has yet to start a game and his eight substitute appearances – six in the league and two in the Europa League – have amounted to a total of 95 minutes of football.
New Link With Manolas
Arsenal are being linked again with the Roma central defender Kostas Manolas.
The Greece international could be on his way out of the Serie A club this summer and has a release clause in his contract of €30million (£26million).
The Gunners and Manchester United are both being linked, but Manolas will only move to a club playing in the Champions League.
Manolas and another Arsenal transfer target, Cengiz Under, are both being linked with exits from the Serie A side – regardless of whether they qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Roma recently sacked director of football Monchi and coach Eusebio di Francesco following a disappointing campaign.
