But A Pay Cut Might Be Required
Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez is a summer target for Juventus. However, the Serie A side will expect Sanchez to take a huge pay cut if the move goes ahead.
Reports from Italy claim Juve have identified Sanchez as a potential reinforcement for next season. But wages that could rise to as much as £505,000 a week are a problem.
Sanchez is the highest-paid player in the Premier League with a basic wage of £400,000 a week, appearance money of £70,000 a game and bonuses that could add up to £35,000 a week on top of that. Juve have already agreed to pay Aaron Ramsey £400,000 a week and Financial Fair Play considerations are likely to come into play if they make a move for Sanchez.
The Chilean has had a poor time of it since he arrived at United from Arsenal in January 2018. This season has been particularly torrid with only eight Premier League starts, nine appearances off the bench and only one league goal. A knee injury looks as though it may have ended his season prematurely.
