Talks Take Place With Solskjaer

Paul Pogba Manchester United

Paul Pogba has decided to stay with Manchester United following talks with interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The France international looked set to push for an exit from Old Trafford after his relationship with Jose Mourinho deteriorated during the first half of the season.

But according to The Sun, Pogba has had a series of talks with Solskjaer at United’s Carrington training complex and wants to remain with the club.

Former side Juventus had been linked with a move for Pogba in a deal that could have seen Juve striker Paulo Dybala move to Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old has had an upturn in form since Mourinho was sacked just before Christmas but Solskjaer wants him to stay and captain the team for some years to come.

Pogba’s current deal at Old Trafford runs to 2021 and talks over a new contract are expected to commence at the end of the year.

Dortmund Rule Out Sancho Exit

Manchester United’s hopes of signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho this summer have taken a blow.

United are being linked with a bid of around £80million for the teenager following a superb season for the Bundesliga side.

But Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says he expects Sancho to to still be at the Bundesliga side next season.

“I’m far from putting a price tag on Jadon,” said Zorc. “He will certainly not play in Dortmund until the end of his career. That is also part of the truth.

“But I will say that, even for the biggest club in the world, his transfer would be difficult right now.

“Jadon will play at Dortmund next season and we are definitely planning with him.”

Paris Saint-Germain are also being linked with a move for Sancho who was signed by Dortmund from Manchester City in the summer of 2017.
