Gunners Representative At Milan Game
An Arsenal scout was at the Milan-Cagliari Serie A game on Sunday with two players on his watch list.
According to the Italian website Tuttomercatoweb, the Gunners’ man was there to watch Cagliari midfielder Nicola Barella and AC Milan’s Suso.
Football Gossip reported last October that Barella, 22, was being watched by Arsenal. Sunday’s opponents Milan are also interested along with Liverpool, Napoli, Roma and Inter Milan.
Cagliari value Barella at €50million (£44million) and that could be a problem for Arsenal unless they make it into next season’s Champions League.
Suso has impressed for Milan since he moved from Liverpool four years ago. He has scored 21 goals in 125 games for the rossoneri and his current deal runs to 2022.
Reports from Italy claim the Gunners are interested but that he isn’t their first choice as a new winger this summer.
Chelsea have also been linked with Suso in the past. However, their transfer ban rules out any move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
