Isco In United Link
Manchester United are interested in signing the Real Madrid midfielder Isco – according to reports from Italy.
The Spain international has fallen down the pecking order at Real with only five of his 16 appearances in La Liga this season coming as a member of the starting eleven. A deteriorating relationship with the club’s fans is one of the reasons.
Real president Florentino Perez is contemplating the sale of at least three of his first-team squad at the end of the season. Isco, Gareth Bale and defender Marcelo all look set to be moved on.
According to the Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Manchester United are one of four clubs interested in the 26-year-old along with Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool and French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
But Isco would only be a serious target for United if they part company with Paul Pogba. That looks unlikely especially if the club finish in the top four and qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Pogba looked lost during Jose Mourinho’s time at the club. However, he is playing with new lease of life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so any exit looks unlikely.
Inter In Fresh Darmian Link
Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian is once again a transfer target for Inter Milan.
The Italy international has been linked with a move back to Italy over the past two summers. However, Serie A sides have baulked at United’s demand of around £12million for a player who has hardly figured for the first team. Darmian has made just 13 Premier League appearances since the start of last season.
Inter currently have Cedric Soares on loan from Southampton and they have an option to buy the Portugal international for €11million this summer. However, he has made just two appearances in Serie A since his arrival in January. The club have decided not to spend the money on a permanent deal for Soares but will use the money to sign Darmian instead.
