Huge Price Tag
Arsenal lead the race for Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, the Gunners will struggle to meet Palace’s price tag of £40million.
Wan-Bissaka, 21, was linked earlier this year with interest from Manchester City. Everton and Bayern Munich are also keen. But The Sun On Sunday claims Arsenal are front-runners to secure his signature as he is keen to remain in London.
Wan-Bissaka only made his debut for Palace last season but he is now a first-team regular with 28 appearances for the senior side in this campagin. He has played every minute of the 25 Premier League games he has started and also has two appearances to his name for England at under-21 level.
Arsenal are set to offer a new deal to defender Rob Holding. The former Bolton Wanderers player saw his season come to a premature end when he suffered a knee injury just before Christmas.
The 23-year-old was in good form up to his injury and the new contract will reflect his standing as a first-team regular.
Holding isn’t expected to return to action until September.
