Arsenal are being linked once again with the France international midfielder Steven N’Zonzi.

The former Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City man is currently at Roma. He was linked last summer with a move to the Emirates where he would link up with his former coach at Sevilla, Unai Emery. But he moved instead to Roma in a deal worth an initial €26.65million plus an additional €4million in add-ons and bonuses. The move was engineered by Roma sporting director Monchi who signed N’Zonzi from Stoke for £7million in 2015.

Calciomercatonews in Italy claims that a number of players could be leaving Roma this summer and it suggests that N’Zonzi could be one of them. But it adds that Monchi does not want to sell the Frenchman and even if there is a clear-out he won’t be one of those to leave.

N’Zonzi’s age is a consideration for Arsenal. He turned 30 in December and Roma will at least want their money back for the Frenchman. That means spending around £24million in a summer transfer market where Arsenal’s total budget is around £40-45million.

N’Zonzi is under contract at Roma until 2022. Tottenham Hotspur are also being linked.

Chambers Set To Be Sold

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers could have played his final game for the club.

The 24-year-old is currently on loan at relegation strugglers Fulham where he has made 19 Premier League appearances so far this season. However, he looks set to return to the Emirates at the end of this campaign and is likely to be sold by the Gunners.

Arsenal will accept any offer that matches their valuation of Chambers.
