Manchester United News: Pogba ‘Still Wants Exit’

United Midfielder Wants Costa Swap

Paul Pogba Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is still determined to quit the club this summer according to an Italian newspaper report.

The France international has finally found his form following a difficult start to the season. Pogba is having the best goalscoring season of his career having hit 13 goals in all competitions for United – eight of those coming since Jose Mourinho was sacked as manager.

But Tuttosport claims Pogba is demanding a return to Juventus as part of a swap deal that would Juve’s Brazilian forward Douglas Costa move to Old Trafford.

United are keen on Costa. Some outlets claim they have seen an offer of €60million (£53million) turned down for a player who they were linked with as far back as 2011.

But it’s difficult to see United preparing to part with one of their star names. And even with Costa thrown in to the deal Juve would still have to find another £50million – at least.

Plus Costa is 28 – two-and-a-half years older than Pogba.

Ndembele, Felix

Meanwhile, Manchester United are still interested in Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndembele.

The 22-year-old has been described as “the new Paul Pogba” by Lyon coach Bruno Genesio and made his debut for France against Iceland last November.

Ndembele joins Benfica’s 19-year-old midfielder Joao Felix as one of the new names on the list of players being linked with a move to United.

But United will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for Felix. The 19-year-old is rated at £105million by the Portugese club who rejected a bid of £61million from Liverpool in the January transfer window.
