But Gunners Aren’t Favourites For Ivory Coast Midfielder
Arsenal are once again keeping tabs on Franck Kessie. But the Ivory Coast international may not move to the Premier League.
The AC Milan midfielder is under contract at the San Siro until 2021 although reports from Italy claim he could be on the move this summer.
Kessie joined Milan from Atalanta in the summer of 2017 in a deal worth €32million. Calciomercato believes he may push for a move at the end of the season with Milan demanding around €30million (£27million).
Arsenal and Chelsea are both keeping tabs on the midfielder but Calciomercato believes that Paris Saint-Germain are the favourites to sign him – should he be sold.
Agent Look For A New Club For Ozil
Meanwhile, Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is still being touted around Europe. The former Germany international has fallen down the pecking order under Unai Emery as the season has progresses. A move to Inter Milan last month was scuppered by his £350,000-a-week wages while Serie A rivals Juventus have also ended their interest.
The Daily Telegraph claims that Ozil is being touted by middlemen. There is no suggestion that these agents are acting on anything more than their own self-interest and are not working for either Arsenal or Ozil. But the Gunners will listen to any offer that comes their way.
Clubs in China and in Italy have linked to these middlemen. Ozil is thought not to be interested in a switch to the Far East although it may be the only way he can secure a deal on his current pay – other than staying at Arsenal.
