Ronaldo ‘Gives Green Light’ To Bid
Liverpool forward Mo Salah could be the subject of a £175million summer bid from Serie A giants Juventus according to reports from the Middle East.
Salah scored his 64th goal for the Merseyside club at the weekend as they defeated Bournemouth 3-0 to maintain their challenge for the Premier League title. He is joint-top scorer in the league on 17 goals along with Sergio Aguero on Manchester City.
But according to Sky News Arabia, Juventus could bid €200million (£175million) for Salah at the end of the season.
The TV channel claims to have been told by a source that Cristiano Ronaldo has given the green light to the Serie A leaders for a move for Salah. However, the notion that Ronaldo has any input into the signing of new players at Juventus sounds unlikely to say the least.
Ronaldo moved to Juventus last summer in a deal worth around £100million and the size of that transfer alone means a bid in the region of £175million for any player this summer looks to be out of the question without the sale of a number of players taking place.
Liverpool are set to resist any efforts by other clubs to sign Salah.
