Fabregas Believes Hazard Will Sign A New Deal
Eden Hazard will sign a new contract with Chelsea if one of his former Stamford Bridge team-mates is to be believed.
The Belgium international is being linked with a summer move away from west London. His contract with the Blues expires at the end of next season and he is dragging his heels over a new deal.
But speaking to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas believes Hazard will stay.
“I think he’s going to extend his contract with Chelsea,” said the former Spain international who left the club for Monaco in the January transfer window.
“He’s a loyal player. He told me he would never fight with Chelsea to leave. This is his club, he has won so much in England.
This is just what I think, but I know him well. If he has made a decision, it would never be to let the club down in the middle of the season, he would not do that.”
Real Madrid are being strongly linked with a move for Hazard.
