Bayern Set For Quick Move
Arsenal could miss out to Bayern Munich in the race for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
The Gunners have been linked for much of the season with Pepe who has scored 16 goals in 23 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon. But Le 10 Sport in France claims that Bayern are ready to put in a bid and that any deal could be done early in the close season.
Lille need to conclude a deal before their financial year-end on 30 June. They are in danger of contravening Financial Fair Play regulations and are keen for a deal to be done soon after the end of their domestic campaign in May.
The French club are looking for a transfer fee of €50 million (£44 million) for Pepe. That alone could be enough to scupper a move to Arsenal. The Gunners were reported this week to have a transfer kitty of £40 million.
Manchester City and Barcelona are also being linked.
