Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is being linked with interest from Barcelona and Arsenal. Details here.

Cardiff City will be liable for the full £15m transfer fee for Emiliano Sala. The Argentine is still missing after his plane disappeared on a flight from Nantes earlier this week.

Roma sporting director Monchi is said to be interested in the technical director role at Arsenal. He held a similar role at Sevilla between 2000 and 2016 where he worked in the latter stages of his time there with current Arsenal boss Unai Emery. More on that story here.

Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner. However, the Bundesliga side have offered a new deal in the hope of keeping him at the club.

Manchester City are interested in Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt. A successful move for the 18-year-old could mean a transfer to Barcelona for Nicolas Otamendi.

Lazio defender Jordan Lukaku – brother of Manchester United striker Romelu – is close to a loan move to Newcastle United. Magpies winger Jacob Murphy is a loan target for West Bromwich Albion.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is open to offers from other Premier League clubs.

Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor are still interested in Fulham striker Aboubakar Kamara despite his arrest on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm in a fight at the Cottagers’ training ground.

Wolves and Southampton are both interested in Juventus defender Rogerio. The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Sassuolo.
