Rodriguez Wants Bayern Stay
Arsenal’s hopes of signing James Rodriguez on loan for the rest of the season seem to have disappeared.
The Colombia international is currently on a two-year-long spell at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid. But he has started just five Bundesliga games so far this season and speculation has linked him with a move away from the Allianz Arena.
Reports have claimed that Arsenal could take on the remaining few months of Rodriguez’s loan spell for €3million. However, Bayern aren’t keen on ending the loan deal and Rodriguez himself doesn’t want to leave Bayern. Sources close to the 27-year-old claim he is keen to make the loan deal permanent. That would mean Bayern paying a €42million transfer fee.
Serie A side Napoli are also monitoring Rodriguez’s situation.
