La Liga Side Linked With United Centre-Back
Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is a January transfer target for Sevilla. Reports from Spain claim that the La Liga side could offer €20million (£18million) for the Ivory Coast international who has struggled to impress since his arrival from Villareal in 2016.
The chances of United agreeing to an exit for Bailly are slim. The club’s well-documented problems in defence mean that he won’t leave until a replacement has been signed and the club look set to sit on the sidelines this month. Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward wants to keep his transfer kitty for whoever succeeds interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the end of the season.
Bailly is known to be keen on a return to Spain after a disappointing spell in the Premier League. But Sevilla aren’t the only club interested in him. Equally, the Andalusian side have a number of other defensive targets they are looking at.
Koulibaly Price Tag Revealed
Manchester United are still being linked with Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly. However, reports today suggest that his price tag now stands at €120million (£107million) – which would be a world-record transfer fee for a defender.
United were linked earlier this season with the Senegal international who has also long been a target for Chelsea.
