January Move For Midfielder?
Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to be linked with a move for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
The Wales international is out of contract at the end of the season and is being linked with interest from both Juventus and Bayern Munich. But French newspaper L’Equipe claims that talks have already taken place between PSG and Ramsey’s representatives.
PSG find themselves in a similar situation to Arsenal in that they look set to lose a key midfielder when his contract expires at the end of the season. In their case it is France international Adrien Rabiot although his situation differs slightly from Ramsey’s in that he is trying to force a move away from the club in the summer.
There is speculation that PSG could sell Rabiot in January. Certainly they are a man down already in that the midfielder has been told that he won’t be considered for selection until his contract expires.
That leaves open the possibility of a sale with Arsenal one of a number of clubs said to be interested. PSG could then make a move for Ramsey. A fee of €10million (£9million) is being put about. Whether Arsenal would be interested in such a deal remains to be seen.
