January Sale Could Be On The Cards
Arsenal are considering the sale of midfielder Mesut Ozil in the January transfer window. The Germany international has missed the side’s last five games through a back injury and he was linked last weekend with interest from Inter Milan.
Those rumours aren’t going away with a number of outlets claiming he could be sold for a cut-price £25million next month.
But Inter wouldn’t be able to match the £350,000 a week Ozil currently earns.
However, Ozil’s representatives, including his brother Mutlu, are ready to fly to Italy to open talks with the Serie A side. They also hope that Serie A champions Juventus will also be interested although a January deal is less likely with the Turin side.
Ozil was one of seven Arsenal players caught on camera using ‘hippy crack’ in a newspaper revelation this week. However, manager Unai Emery has decided not to take any disciplinary action as the incident happened pre-season. The players have all been warned about their responsibility to the club.
