Juventus Eyeing Up Rabiot As Well As Ramsey
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey could be a transfer target for Juventus if the Serie A side fail to land Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot.
Both players are out of contract at the end of the season. But while Ramsey has been told he will definitely be leaving the Emirates this summer, PSG are still hopeful that Rabiot will sign a new deal with the French champions.
Reports today claim the players will each be offered deals worth around £10million a year by Juventus. But Ramsey is believed to be first choice of Juve coach Massimo Allegri if not the Juve hierarchy.
Rabiot was being linked with a move away from PSG in the summer. However, coach Thomas Tuchel wants him to stay. The 23-year-old has started in 11 of PSG’s 14 Ligue 1 games and been a substitute in two others.
The Frenchman may want to move to a more competitive league. PSG have won all 14 of their league games so far this season and are already a massive 15 points ahead of second-placed Lyon.
Juventus are free to speak to either player from 1 January.
Gunners Keen On Amiri
Arsenal have joined their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Hoffenheim midfielder Nadiem Amiri.
The 22-year-old hasn’t played for the Bundesliga side this season because of a foot injury. But German newspaper Sport Bild claims there is a clause in his contract with Hoffenheim that would allow him to leave for £15million next summer.
Amiri is looking to move to a top European side challenging for titles. He won the European Under-21 title with Germany last season.
His contract with Hoffenheim runs to the end of next season.
