Pulisic To Leave In The Summer?
Borussia Dortmund could be open to the sale of Liverpool and Chelsea transfer target Christian Pulisic. But only if he stays at the club until the summer.
United States international winger Pulisic was on Liverpool’s radar in the summer transfer windows of both 2016 and 2017. But Dortmund insisted he was going nowhere on each occasion.
But the 20-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season and at present he doesn’t look likely to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Liverpool and Chelsea are both keen but Dortmund insist Pulisic won’t be going anywhere in the January transfer window.
A move in the summer could be on the cards. But Dortmund will demand somewhere in the region of £70million.
While Liverpool turned their attentions elsewhere after being spurned by Dortmund, Chelsea are eyeing up a bid for a player seen as a potential replacement for Eden Hazard. The Belgium international hinted at the weekend that he could move on in the summer although he also said he might spend the rest of his career at Stamford Bridge.
While £70million might not be a record transfer fee for Liverpool – they paid £75million for defender Virgil van Dijk in January – it would be for Chelsea. The Blues’ current record fee is the £57million they paid Real Madrid for striker Alvaro Morata in 2017.
