Inter Name Their Price
Inter Milan are ready to sell Manchester United transfer target Ivan Perisic. But the Italian side are only prepared to sanction any sale for a fee of €35million (£31million).
Croatia international Perisic looked to be close to a move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2017. At that time, Inter needed to sell players to the value of €30million (around £26million) to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions from Uefa. United offered €30million but incoming Inter coach Luciano Spalletti persuaded the board not to sell what he perceived to be the club’s star player. Inter raised the money through the sale of a number of fringe players. For his part, Perisic got a new improved deal.
According to Calciomercato, Spalletti is still fond of Perisic despite a number of disappointing performances for the club since the move to Manchester United fell through. Inter are willing to listen to offers of around €35million.
But while a number of outlets claim there is interest from Old Trafford the chances are low of a deal being done at this stage.
Perisic is 29 but he turns 30 at the beginning of February. Jose Mourinho was keen on a number of players around the 30 mark in the summer only for the United board to refuse to sanction moves for any of them because of the cost. That looks likely to be played out again this time.
Plus, Inter want to replace Perisic with United forward Anthony Martial. Given the Frenchman’s current form – six goals in his last seven appearances for the Red Devils – the chances of them sanctioning a sale are zero.
Real Eye Up Rashford Move
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is a transfer target for Real Madrid according to reports today.
The Sun claims that scouts from the Bernabeu watched the 21-year-old in action for England against Croatia on Sunday and are ready to put in a £50million bid.
Coach Santi Solari is believed to be a big admirer of Rashhford.
The news follows reports that Juventus are also keeping tabs on Rashford who may have to move away from Old Trafford to fulfil his potential.
