Napoli In Bid To Deter Interest In Striker
Liverpool have been told they will have to pay £80million for Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne.
The 27-year-old has been in blistering form this campaign with eight goals in 11 appearances for the Serie A side. He scored the last-minute winner for Napoli when they came up against the Reds in the Champions League last month.
Liverpool have been linked with interest in Insigne as have French giants Paris Saint-Germain, but according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport any interested parties will have to dig deep for the Italy international.
Napoli have put a price tag of €90million (£80.2million) on Insigne in a bid to deter any bids. The striker still has four years left on his current deal and the lack of any release clause in his contract gives Napoli the upper hand.
The 5ft 4in striker has spent his entire professional career with Napoli apart from loan spells at Cavese, Foggia and Pescara.
