Sanchez ‘Wants Manchester United Exit’

Agent Putting His Name About

Alexis Sanchez Manchester United

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez is looking for a move away from Old Trafford after just nine months. Reports today claim that representatives of Sanchez have been in contact with some of Europe’s top clubs over a potential move.

The Chile international arrived at United from Arsenal in a player-swap deal at the end of January with winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan moving in the opposite direction. No cash changed hands.

But Sanchez is having a difficult campaign with just one goal to his name so far this season. He split with his girlfriend before the start of the campaign and that is believed to have had an effect on his performances. As a result, he has been left out of more than half of United’s starting line-ups so far this season.

Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich will do well to find a club willing to match his £500,000-a-week wages. The only clubs able to do that appear to be those in the Middle East or China. But the 29-year-old isn’t ready to pack in at the top level just yet and is keen on a move to one of Europe’s top leagues.

Ibrahimovic Rules Out Return

Meanwhile, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has ruled out a return to Manchester United in January. The former United striker has scored 25 goals for LA Galaxy so far this season and has been linked with a loan move back to Old Trafford on loan in January. By then the MLS will be in its close season.

But speaking to Sky Sports, the 37-year-old has ruled anything but a rest this winter.

“I think I’m in a situation where I need to have a good balance between work and rest,” Ibrahimovic said.

“Because I came back from injury and because of my age and the load I’m putting in during training.

“It’s not what I have been thinking about because we still have two games, hopefully we make the play-offs.

“Any more on that I don’t know what to say because I haven’t focused on that, I haven’t put any thought on it.”

Martial Rejects United Offers

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has rejected a number of offers over a new deal at the club.

Reports earlier this week claimed United were close to a new five-year contract with the France international. But French radio station RMC says that all offers have been rejected so far by Martial. His contract expires in 2020.
