Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has criticised Premier League crowds saying there is more of an atmosphere in French stadiums.

The France international moved to Arsenal from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon in the summer of 2017. But in an interview with the French newspaper Le Progres he was asked what he missed about playing in France.

“I miss Ligue 1’s atmosphere,” Lacazette said. “In England, the fans are more spectators than supporters.

“There’s a better atmosphere in French stadiums.”

Lacazette scored 14 goals in 32 Premier League games in his first season at the Emirates. But he has undergone a new lease of life under Unai Emery and has scored four goals in the opening eight matches of the new season.
