Belgian Still Wants Real Madrid Transfer
Chelsea forward Eden Hazard will wait to see if there is any inkling of a move for him from Real Madrid before opening talks over a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard suggested over the weekend that he would love to move to the La Liga side. Last season he made numerous public utterances praising the side’s then boss Zinedine Zidane. However, Real failed to show any concrete interest.
The Belgium international will just have one more season left on his current deal by the end of this season. But he will make a decision about his future next summer. If he gets a sign from Madrid that they are interested in making a move then he won’t put pen to paper on a new deal with Chelsea. However, if the European champions decide once again that they aren’t going to put in a bid then he will open talks over a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
Informal discussions have already taken place between the Premier League club and Hazard’s representatives. Chelsea are willing to offer a new deal worth over £300,000 a week.
