Paraguayan Back On Gunners Radar
Arsenal are being linked with a January move for Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almiron.
The 24-year-old Paraguay international looks set to leave the MLS side in the winter transfer window and reports from the USA claim Arsenal have lined up a transfer deal.
Arsenal were first interested in Almiron in 2016. Then, it was claimed the Gunners could pay his club at the time, the Argentine side Lanus, a fee of between £8million and £11million. However, he surprised many by making a move to an Atlanta side making their debut in MLS in a deal worth $8million.
Almiron has had two good seasons with Atlanta scoring 21 goals in 61 league games.
But according to Atlanta president Darren Eales he looks set to leave the club.
“Almiron’s future is already decided and will go to England in the European winter market,” Eales told Fox Deportes USA.
Arsenal are believed to be at the front of the queue for his signature in a deal that will cost the Gunners around €13million (£11.4million).
