Ligue 1 Side Watch Palace Winger
French side Monaco are looking to sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
The Ivory Coast international signed a new deal at Selhurst Park last month and is under contract with the Eagles until 2023.
But reports are claiming he could be targeted by the Ligue 1 side in the January transfer window. Monaco sporting director, the former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo, was present at Saturday’s game with Newcastle United. Zaha put in a quiet performance as the two sides fought out a goalless draw.
The 2017 French champions have had a dreadful start to the new season. They lie in 16th place in the 20-team league with just six points in their opening six games and are expected to dip into the transfer market in January.
The problems for Monaco is that Zaha earns around £130,000 a week with Palace. That’s way beyond what the French club would be willing to pay.
