Release Clause Of £60m
Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish looks set to sign a new deal with the Championship club.
Grealish was linked during the summer with interest from Tottenham Hotspur but the north London club wouldn’t meet Villa’s £30million valuation and he remains at Villa Park with two years left on his current deal.
However, according to the Sunday Express, Grealish looks set to put pen to paper on a new deal at Villa Park that will include a release clause of £60million.
A number of players left Villa Park after last season’s play-off final defeat to Fulham and Grealish was thought to be one of those who would exit the club. But manager Steve Bruce believes Grealish is an integral part of the club’s side as they launch another attempt to regain the Premier League status they lost in 2016.
Villa’s 2-1 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday has seen them drop to 13th place in the Championship table.
